Besides many other excellent qualities, Cuquita, the actual Director of the hacienda, keeps very precise and personal records of those boy and girls that are so lucky to go to the hacienda. From Cuquita´s records, it is possible to know that in the last 15 years, at least 101 boys and girls have been living, studying, playing and running through the halls of the hacienda. We can also say that basically almost 90 some percent came from the state of Jalisco, particularly from Guadalajara and counties around it like Tonala, Huejotitan, La Alameda, El Salto, Ixtlahuacan, Zapopan, Tlajomulco, Sta. Cruz de las Flores, Magdalena, Lagos de Moreno, Zapotlanejo, Amatitan, etc. According to Cuquita’s records in the last 15 years, 83 boys came from Jalisco, 7 from Michoacán and 1 each from Veracruz, Guerrero, Colima and Hidalgo. There has also been 1 boy from México City and 3 from the state of Nayarit.
Today during the 2004 – 2005 school year at the hacienda there are 30 students including 3 girls. Ten of them are in elementary school (primaria), three in Junior High (Secundaria) eight in High school (Preparatoria) and nine in College level (Universidad).
