hese young boys – today, around 30 of them, between 5 and 20 years old - live at The Hacienda as a big family and attend different regional schools. At home, each one of them takes care of personal chores, helps taking care of the house and with the work at the farm. This combination of activities allows them to learn how to take care of themselves and be responsible and connected with the other students and the larger society. |

n orchard, an animal farm, and flowers and fruit trees surround the house, -The hacienda - where all the boys and directors live. Production from the farm and orchard, besides complementing the daily menu, also teaches the young boys different ways of food production. They have facilities for laundry, space to play, a basketball court, a swimming pool and classrooms rooms for computers and carpentry. |
